Velma Anyiango (Grade: 8)
Velma's father lost his life to cancer. Her father was a teacher but had no way to bring in food for his family. The mother became a full time nurse to her husband and has no job. One of our Hope for Kenya team members paid for her father to have his leg amputated in an effort to save his life. His dying wish was that someone would step in and sponsor his two girls.
