Steven Gerald Okoth  (Grade: 4)

Steven’s father was very recently murdered while traveling to work. He was attacked and brutally killed. Not only is Steven without a father but the pain of this experience is so plainly evident in the boys eyes. He seems so troubled and worried about his mother, who has four children to feed. I have seen this look on a young man before. And I have seen that face completely transformed within a matter of days of attending full boarding at the Joy School. We literally almost don’t recognize them, their countenance is so transformed. Please stand and protect Steven’s future and give him the hope he needs before bitterness and poverty grip him forever. The time is now and we appreciate you considering his fateful story.
