Irine is an 11-year-old girl in 5th grade. She lives with her mother and sister. She likes reading and wants to be a teacher when she is older.
Vimal Vincent was a paying student at Joy Schools. His father died while he was in class 7. His uncle recently passed and no one is taking responsibility to raise Vimal. It is Hope for Kenya’s desire to continue Vimal’s education.
Wendy is five, and in the baby class. Her father died and her 80-year-old grandmother is caring for her. The mother has five children and works on farms to earn $1 a day to feed her family.
Vina is nine. Her 80-year-old grandmother can no longer care for her as she is very poor. Vina loves football and is very friendly and outgoing.
Teddy is eleven and in class 5. He lives with his mother, who is divorced and has no job or income. They are being supported by friends and relatives. Teddy loves to play football (soccer).
Melvin comes from a very large family. Her father is a peasant farmer and cannot afford the school fees. Due to this family’s poverty, we are requesting help for Melvin and her brother Tony. Without sponsorship Melvin will be married off.
